Glass Block

Glass blocks, also known as glass bricks, are architectural elements made from glass. The appearance of glass blocks can vary in color, size, texture, and form. Modern glass blocks were developed from
pre-existing prism lighting principles in the early 1900s in to buildings. Glass blocks are often used in current construction in walls, skylights, and sidewalk lights.

Glass block units provide visual obscuration while admitting light making them popular interior walls.

Glass block units can have patterns.

The blocks can also be manufactured from colored glass.
